There are a lot of good things about working with a jewelry brand as epic as Fana. Hanging around with professional models and world-class photographers just happens to be one of those good things. Our intrepid Art Director, Katie McBroom, worked alongside one of the region’s foremost fashion photographers, Michael Clevenger, to style and photograph the shoot. And, once you see the pictures, we think you’ll agree that the result is something to write home about.
The client was looking for original photography that captured the romance and magic of the Fana brand without looking staged or phony. Their identity is joyful and personal, intimate and truly special, and our job was to translate that character into images that audiences would connect with and be captivated by.
To achieve this balance of fairytale styling and real life setting, we went to some of our favorite Louisville venues, Ice House and White Hall. “We chose these two locations because they really helped us hit a wide variety of targets,” Katie said. “Ice House was very urban and modern, while White Hall has a more traditional, romantic vibe.” And that was the whole point for the client––they wanted to shoot somewhere relatable, somewhere their Millennial audience would feel comfortable.
Our team created a cutting edge, web-based mood board to help the client envision the final result, and collaborated with the client on every element of the project. “It was designed to be a very high end, designer shoot,” Katie added. “So we decided to source everything from the props to the clothes ourselves. We were heavily involved in the model selection and even flew one of the three models in from L.A. to achieve the right look.”
We are so proud of the statement look we created for Fana, and were thrilled when our photography was honored at the American Advertising Federation’s annual awards show, the Addys. Want to see what our team can do for your brand? Hit us up––we love new challenges!
